Belly-Boo, Can It Be True? You're 9 Years Old?

Face painting at the 4th of July Celebration at The Meadows at Historic Castle Rock (the fancy and official name of our neighborhood). Is it just us, or does this smile tip you off as to why her dad anticipates spending her teen years sitting on the porch with a shotgun and a shovel?
The after-effects of birthday cake: there's got to be some diagnosable medical reason why this child's teeth holds color dye longer than your average plastic household product.

The finished product at her Arts on Fire paint-your-own-ceramic-purse birthday party; we have wagers placed in Vegas to see how many days she can go without dropping it on a non-friendly surface and how long she will cry about it.
Horse Camp: a dream come true for Belly-Boo!
Waking at 5 a.m. each day even though camp started promptly at 9 (the anticipation was making her mental), full of horse jargon we know nothing of: English saddles, posting, driving...too bad we're not loaded (read: we will accept your tax-deductible cash gift), she'd do this year-round in a heartbeat.

Happy birthday Eve!

Too bad we're not more proximitous; Blaine talks about spending evenings on the porch with a shotgun with too much eager anticipation. Not for the dating to begin, for the shooting to begin. *sigh*

Is the purse still whole?

And that horse camp thing—she'll have many a Lee jealous of that.
