Ya-Can't-Hit-Ya-Can't-Hit-Ya-Can't-Hit-It, Battah!

T-ball is a riot, but now we're on to serious stuff: Coach Pitch for 7- and 8-year-olds. Ty is a proud Castle Rock Rattler, who loses sleep anticipating practices, games and, obviously, after-game snacks. He faces each inning with white-hot intensity, but once he sees Mom wielding
her trusty digital camera, the game face goes.
Not facing camera: serious.

Facing camera: not serious.
You're a bright bunch, I think you're perceiving the behavior pattern.

Another pattern I'm perceiving is that your children lose sleep when they're excited about something!

Emma's the same way. When we told them we were going to Disneyland (same trip where you so graciously allowed us to stay at your home) she couldn't eat and got so sick she almost threw up, she was so excited. This is six weeks in advance of going.
